By ship and horse, tales spread from Falme across Arad Doman, Tarabon, and beyond — of signs and portents seen in the sky, of men proclaiming themselves for the Dragon and being struck down for it.

Other tales tell of a column riding east across Almoth Plain, away from the setting sun. The numbers change in every telling — a hundred Bordermen, a thousand, ten thousand heroes returned from the grave at the Horn's call. They had destroyed a legion of the Children of the Light. They rode toward the mountains, toward the dawn.

In every version of every tale, one thing stays the same: at their head rode a man whose face had been seen in the sky above Falme, and they rode under the banner of the Dragon Reborn.

A prayer closes the book, drawn from the Fourth Age text *Charal Drianaan te Calamon*: beseeching the Creator to let the Promised One be born of the mountain, the Prince of the Morning sing to the land, and the Dragon ride again on the winds of time.
