Chapter 26: Whitebridge

The Spray arrives at Whitebridge, where Captain Domon puts Gelb ashore and returns Thom's fares. At The Wayfarers' Rest, innkeeper Bartim shares news that Logain has been captured near Lugard and is being taken north to Tar Valon through Caemlyn, and that Illian has proclaimed a new Hunt for the Horn.

Bartim also reveals that a weaselly, half-mad man came through a week ago asking after them, followed by a black-cloaked figure whose very gaze freezes people in place—a Myrddraal searching for the group and a white-haired gleeman.

Thom divides his money among the three and reveals that Aes Sedai killed his nephew Owyn. When a Fade appears in the town square, Thom charges it with daggers drawn, screaming for Rand and Mat to run to Caemlyn and find an inn called the Queen's Blessing. They flee on foot as Thom's screams echo behind them.
