Chapter 14: The Stag and Lion

At the Stag and Lion inn, the party settles in while Master Fitch fusses over them. Moiraine asks about someone named Min. During their baths, Mat nearly mentions Trollocs to the attendant, earning a sharp rebuke from Lan: they must trust no one. Moiraine is seen speaking with a slender girl in men's clothes.

At dinner, Lan reports that Logain, the false Dragon, won a battle in Ghealdan, though the fate of the Aes Sedai there is unknown. They will stay two nights in Baerlon.

That night, Rand has another nightmare: a man with eyes and mouth of flame calls himself Ba'alzamon and claims he has never been bound, that he stood at Lews Therin's shoulder. He speaks of 'the Eye of the World' and warns that Rand will be used by the Aes Sedai. Rand wakes, deeply shaken.
